Connecting with friends is special any time of year.  Christmas brings the opportunity to connect with family too.  This means different things depending on your experience of life.  Sometimes it is magical and sometimes it’s not.  We all have times when we wonder where those connections went, or feel particularly alone in the midst of those connections. I have had the pleasure, today , of connecting with a very special friend…just for an hour…we are all so busy.  How quickly that hour disappeared!  Such is the sweet nature of our time shared.  It is a reminder that I need to honour that gift more often. Recently I have made new connections through going on a course and am really excited at the network that will facilitate further opportunity to meet and work with others. I wonder how many connections we make in our lives?!!! There is a saying, ‘Friends for a reason, friends for a season, and friends for life.’  We connect in so many ways!  A simple smile to a stranger;  ‘Thank you’ for a door held open for me;  A meeting at work;  Telephone calls;  Cards and letters or more often social media these days;  Phoning home;  Phone a friend…the list is never ending.  So it really is very important in our experience of life, that special sharing connecting with others.  Life would be so empty otherwise! Being mindful of how good it feels, may be today I can reach out with even more appreciation of how special it is to connect joyfully at any time of year.  I choose to make everyday a special day for connecting – so ‘Hi’ (BIG SMILE)! My website is getting close to completion.  The emails are now coming through to me, so I hope I haven’t missed anybody!  I really am looking forward to connecting more as time goes by. Have a fabulous Christmas and New Year!
